From install to a working recipe in a few minutes.
1. Install General Caster
Click Install or search for "General Caster" in the monday.com marketplace. The app is installed in the monday.com account you are logged in to, on the Free plan.

General Caster is installedOpen a board and click Integrate
2. Add a recipe to a board
Open the board and click Integrate at the top right.
Search for General Caster and pick a recipe, for example When column changes, perform formula and cast result to column.
Fill in the underlined parts: the column that triggers the recipe, the formula and the target column.
Click Add to board.

3 Choose the columns and write the formula
When Timeline changes, perform formula and cast result to Working days
In the formula editor, type the formula with Excel syntax and click the column buttons at the bottom to insert references to your columns. A first formula to try, with two Numbers columns and a target Numbers column:
{item's Price} * {item's Quantity}
Change the Price of an item: after a moment the target column shows the result.
Test with a Text column first
When you write a new formula, cast it into a Text column first: you see exactly what General Caster produces. When the result looks right, switch the target to the real column. See Debug a formula.
