Auto-increment
Change a Numbers column by a fixed amount each time a status changes: counters, stock, scores, attempts.
Set it up
- Add the recipe When status changes to something, auto-increment/decrement Number column.
- Choose the status and the label, the Numbers column, the operation and the number.
Available operations: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, modulus and exponentiation. For example, add 1 every time the status becomes "Sent" counts how many times an item was sent.
The Numbers column can also be a mirrored column: in that case the number is changed in the connected item, so you can update a counter on another board.
Pro plan
Auto-increment requires the Pro plan or higher.
Formula or auto-increment?
Auto-increment changes the current value by a fixed step. If the new value depends on other columns, use a formula recipe instead: {item's Stock} - {item's Quantity}.
