Barcodes and QR codes

Generate a barcode or a QR code from a formula and upload it to a File column or to the item updates.

Set it up

  1. Add the recipe perform formula and create barcode, uploading it to a File column or to an update.
  2. Write the formula that produces the content of the code: a product code, a link, an item ID.
  3. Choose the format, the unit and the size.
CONCATENATE("https://example.com/track/", {item's Order number})
Pro plan

Barcodes require the Pro plan or higher. On lower plans the recipe generates a sample code with a reminder to upgrade.

Formats

Many 1D barcodes accept only digits or a limited set of characters, and some need a fixed length (for example EAN 13). If the content doesn't fit the format, the barcode can't be generated. For free text and links, use a QR code or Datamatrix.
