Excel formulas that write real values into your columns

The Formula column only displays a result. General Caster calculates it every time an item changes and stores it in a real column, so automations, dashboards, filters and other integrations can use it.

Why General Caster

A result you can build on

With the Formula column the result lives only in that column. General Caster writes it where you need it, in the column type you need, and keeps it up to date.

That means a formula can set a Status that starts an automation, a Date that moves a timeline, or a People column that assigns the work.

Questions before you install

Yes. The Free plan includes 500 operations per month and casting formula results into columns, with no time limit and no credit card. You can upgrade from the monday.com marketplace whenever you need more.

One run of an integration on one item: for example, a formula recalculated because a column changed. Operations are counted per monday.com account and shared by all its users. The Console shows how many you use and forecasts the end of the month.

No. Every plan is priced per monday.com account, whatever the number of seats. The team sizes next to each plan are only a guide: what matters is the number of operations.

If you have ever written an Excel formula, you already know the syntax. If not, start from the ready-made formulas in the Ideas section and copy them into your board.
